Mom makes epic Doctor Who costume for son
Everybody wants to be the Doctor, but unfortunately Matt Smith’s trademark tweed jacket doesn’t come in everyone’s size. Fortunately for this kid, he’s got a crafty mom who found a way to fashion an Eleventh Doctor jacket that fits him perfectly, and she even fashioned his wheelchair into a sweet TARDIS.

Matt’s interactions with young fans, particularly little kids who watch the show, are adorable. He answers their questions in a way that isn’t patronizing or over the top, but kindly and genuinely. It is very sweet.

Doctor Who reference in Leverage. Love that it was Eliot who said this, not Hardison. Do they watch Doctor Who together?

Better quality pic from London Expo, my Eighth Doctor with the Dalek. Quite pleased with how the costume looks in pictures that aren’t from my cameraphone. :P
Marry me. Please.
This is the post that started it all. A chance reblog, with a wonderful comment, and it got us talking. One year later, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend, completely in love, devoted to each other in every sense. We often say that we’re each other’s ‘42’, because she is my life, my universe, and my everything.
We’ve had the chance to meet in person and spend three wonderful weeks together. Next year, I’ll be going over to America to spend time with her, and soon, she’ll be living here with me. We’re going to spend the rest of our lives together, and I couldn’t be happier.I really am the luckiest guy in the world. I have a beautiful, intelligent, funny, and well, let’s face it, pretty sort of marvellous girlfriend, and it’s all down to posting a pic on Tumblr! :P
Happy Anniversary, my soulmate. I love you so much! You have my hearts. Plural.
thx, gallifreyburning
So it’s done! Yay!
I had the top stitching and binding done by Sherri Wallaert in Portland. You can find the lining fabric that I used here. I had the “Police Public Call Box” and the text of the telephone box printed at Spoonflower (and I made them available).
Here are some photos I took along the way. My followers may have seen some of these, but I want to document the process for posterity, and maybe explain a few things….

Personality Quiz: Could you survive as The Doctor’s companion?
via Anglophenia:
So, here’s the deal. All you have to do is answer the following 10 questions as honestly as you can, and then we’ll tell you if you made it to the end of your prospective trip aboard the TARDIS with your wits, looks and body intact.
Note: no actual psychology has been used in the creation of this quiz. There again, Time Lords aren’t really real either.
Click through to take the test.
Your result: Congratulations! You made it unscathed!
OK, you may have lost a loved one or two along the way and you probably haven’t got out of the TARDIS in the same place and time you got in, but trust me, in comparison with some travellers, you have done very well!
